Contacts created on PPC won't upload to contacts on Outlook 2002

I'm sure this has been asked, but I seached here and the support site at Microsoft and couldn't find an answer.

The problem is like this, if I input a contact's info on Outlook it downloads fine to the PPC.

However, when I create a new contact on the PPC and then try to sync it so that it will be on Outlook 2002 too, it won't upload.

The weird thing is that there are no errors, it syncs perfectly, no unresolved items, etc. The contact created on the PPC is just not sync'ed (copied) on to the desktop to Outlook 2002.

Any ideas???

Thanks in advance... :rolling:

If you're using categories check that you haven't got any filters on on your pc: if you have, it'll hide them away!
Also check that you've got Contacts checked to sync via AS.

Tools, Options... make sure Contacts checkbox is enabled.

If you haven't already, look into Activesync | Options | Rules tab, I think... or perhaps it's when you highlight Contacts in the checkbox listing and click Options there... Databases have refused to sync for me at all since summer of 2000, so I can't remember what the exact location is. There should be options for making the PPC dominant, the PC dominant, and to combine them.

Try checking that the Sync all Contacts option is selected:
From Activesync on your desktop:
  1. Tools
  2. Options...
  3. Click Contacts
  4. Settings
And make sure that the Sync all contacts option hasa been selected.

Both of those have been checked... I do have the sync all contacts option checked. And even adjusting the rules to make the PPC dominant did nothing...

This is very frustrating...

i havent used Outlook 2002 yet, but in 2000, which should be the same or close, while in your contacts folder, click View | Customize current view. check the settings under Filter, or remove any filter settings.
