Does anyone knows if the X3i supports WPA encryption? The PDA tells me "no" but Dell Support in Canada says "yes" !!!

Unfortunately the support at Dell Canada might actually be better if it was outsourced to say, Guam.

Its is very possible that the person that you talked to didn't know the difference between WPA and WEP.

Dell has yet to announce whether or not the X3i, current model or future, will support WPA. Though there is no reason that it could not. WPA requires no additional hardware. It would be a purely software upgrade.

I guess we'll see.

I've heard WPA is supposed to be supported in WM03 SE so you can keep your fingers crossed that Dell will provide an upgrade. The current X3i does not support it.
