No big differences in the cards, but there are big differences in the
slots in your X5. The SD slot is
not an IO slot, while the CF slot is. That means that if, for example, you want a GPS unit to go with your Mapopolis maps, you can buy units that go into your CF slot but not any that go into the SD slot. If you want to sync or surf the net wirelessly, you'll do that with a WLAN card in your CF slot. If you want any of a number of other addons (modems, cameras, ir extenders, whatever), they will all take your CF slot. That means that any programs or data you have stored on a CF card won't be available while you are using these other accessories, while programs or data that are on an SD card will be available for use.
I guess there is one big difference in the cards, too: CF is apparently on the way out, at least for pocket pcs. All the newest pocket pcs have sd slots; few have CF slots. That's something to think about, too.
