Unable to find device

I was able to sucessfully sync with my laptop at home over the weekend, but will use my work PC as a rule for syncing...trouble is when I try to sync I get device not found....I've tried usb port on the motherboard, and via a usb hub. Ideas?
Thanks,
C

Did you install the Dell USB drivers?

Yes to the USB drivers from Dell, and I also installed a (USB hub) patch that I may or may not need...that is the problem with the Dell Technical site is that it gives you a bunch of possible installs, but really does not tell you clearly which one you need to resolve problem A. And since you don't get a Dell Tag number with the Ax like you do with a PC or Lap then you don't get the narrow search based on model.
Anyway, still not resolved so any and all suggestions apprecaited...

If you have a firewall, disable it and see if this solves the problem. There seems to be a lot problems with firewalls.(I.E ZoneAlarm).

Disabled Norton Internet Security package, that didn't resolve.
What did work (maybe it was just that someone threw me some good karma) was rebooting my system with the USB hub detached, then attaching it and letting it run thru and reinstall the hub and its attachments. Go figure...

Thanks,
Chris
