text messaging and Bluetooth?

With my new X30 high, I also am getting a new yet2B decided phone that has bluetooth. In the Cingular network, they charge .10 a minute for text messaging. T-Mobile offers 300 messages for about about $3/mth. I understand that if I write an email message on the Axim and "send", it will automatically transfer the message to the phone and the phone will dial to my ISP. Does that call go out as a text message or as a timed phone call? If it's a regular call to the internet, then I want more air time; if it goes as a text message, then I would probably go with T-Mobiles bundle deal. Any input?

If it dials out to your ISP then it would be normal airtime.

How does text messaging work? Can you write an email on PDA and send it to another email address via text messaging?

in theory you could, but i dont think it is designed to do that.

for example, when u txt someone with verizon you think u r sending this:

(555) 555 1212
Hi there!

what u r really sending is this:
5555551212@vzw.net
hi there!

try it, go to hotmail or something, and send yourself a txt message, u will see.

So it seems the txt messaging is just email going through the network's (e.g. Verizon) server to the internet and on the email recipient?

So if I get a service w/ 300 txts for $3, that would allow me to email messages, send pics etc, without going through my dial-up ISP, right?
