folks I'm a first time user of any kind of pda. I was hoping to use me Axim5 for company business. However I find that when I try to log on to my company web site , it will not let me. It also has pages on other web sites that it will not allow me to get on. I seem to remember that my company requires that the web brouser have a minimun level of security which at the time was IE.5.0. Does the downsized version of Win IE CE 2000 meet this requirement? If not does anyone think this might be my problem and if so is there any kind of work around solution. The other problem I have is dial up access from around the globe. The orginal set up from Dell was so convoluted that it took (no exageration) 6 hrs on the phone with tech services in India ( yah, the country) to get an initial dial up. It was such a bad experience that I'm thinking hard about returning the unit. Two problems with one machine. I'm sorry this is so long and any help will be greatly appreciated. Everything else with the unit seems to be fine. I really like the idea behind this machine. I travel ALOT and like the idea of not having to take my compter out of my bag everytime I go through security is a BIG plus. Thanks for all of our time and consideration of my problems. Madhare

I take it you are trying Outllook Web Access as well as the VPN connection settings.

The only way OWA will work is if your IT sets up OWA for CE Devices. Depends which server OS they are running as to how easy or how much this will cost. For the newer software it is either a Free Download or already included and just needs to be put on-line.

For VPN there are issues depending on if it is a Dial-up Land line or Dial-up Cell connection. Many Cell connections do not support MS VPN and it mat require a seperate VPN Client (software) on both ends.

If you have a Desktop ALWAYS online at the office there are other options your corp. IT people probably wont like (Visto, PCAnywhere, etc.)

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm in the same boat. All of this technology and we still can't get our mail.

Good Luck!
