Why can't I assign notes to different categories on my X30. I can assign notes categories in outlook 2002, but they are uncategorized on the handheld. Contacts and ToDo's and Calendar items can all be categorized. I'm confused. Best I can do is to create separate folders under MyDocuments and keep track of things there.

Not possible with the default applications. Check out Pocket Informant and see if it will do it but I don't think so. It would require the information to be passed through Active Sync.
