I've read the user's guide and the only reference I see is that there is a notification. I do not have email hooked up because it is web based so it is not incoming messages. Does anyone know why the power button flashes green? I do not see any notifications on the upper bar. It isn't consistant but I'm unable to determine the cause or sequence of events that cause it to happen.

Go to Start-Settings-Sounds & Notifictions tap on the Notifications tab at the bottom.

The top of the Notifications screen has a drop down list with the various types of events.

The bottom of the screen has various check boxes allowing you to select how you want to be notified for the selected event.

One of these check boxes is Flash light for ... minutes.

You will need to check the current settings for each type of event to see if this setting is checked for an event type.

BTW, I also discovered that even after turning off the Flash light for ... check box I had to do a soft reset to have the changes take effect.
