Ok, ... I'm almost embarassed to ask these questions. This is my first PDA I've ever had, ... so I'm "learning the ropes", as I go.

I got my Axim in the mail last night, ... charged the battery overnight, ... and am playing around with it for the first time this morning.

1. Is there a way to power off the Axim? When I press the power button, the screen turns off, ... but I can still see that its on. Am I missing something?

2. I didn't seen any type of registration card to send back to Dell in my package. How do I register it with Dell, ... just in case I have any problems.

As a side note, ... I ordered mine online last Saturday afternoon, ... it shipped out on Monday, and was in my hands last night. I was expecting a lot longer than that (after reading all of the stories). Granted I didn't order the keypad, ... that's probably why.

If you give the power button a quick press then it turns the Axim off or on. If you press it and hold it, it just dims or brightens the backlight. Second, I don't believe you have to send any registration card back to dell. You have a customer number and a Service Tag number. They can usually get any info on your Axim by that service tag.

I could have went to Taiwan and built my own Axim by now.

Another thing you can do is go to the Dell web site and set up a service account there. They keep track of all your Dell systems by service tag and you can quickly look up and see if there are any new downloads or updates etc.
