Axim connection to USB Flash drive?

Hi everyone, just got my first PDA, Axim X30 624mzh... and am trying to figure it out. (already had one problem with battery drain, dunno why but sorted after a hard reset)

After looking at the prices for Secure Digital cards I wondered if it were possible to connect a USB flash drive/pendrive to the Axim?

Also is any software being developed for PocketPC 2003 SE? Everything I install says that it was made for a different version.

Thanks in advance

Great site by the way :D has been very useful!

Flash

Hello, and welcome to the AximSite!

1. The only way I could fathom using a flash drive would be if you could get an SDIO to USB adapter, which I don't believe is availible. You would be wise to get either a 512 or 1024 MB SD card, look at Kingston or Lexar. Stay away from SanDisk.

2. Developers are still working on WM 2003 SE compatibility with their apps. Most of the apps designed for 2002 and 2003 should work fine with SE, but check before hand.

Yes, do a search on Handango for Second Edition. Also, a lot of WM2003 programs do work on SE, it just says it >MIGHT< not work (at least in landscape it won't work).

Not possible, because the X30 only has a SD slot. There are CF USB Hubs though. ;)

I haven't talked about it yet on the Aximsite . Well I finally decided to return the A716 after the stuck pixel annoyed the hell out of me. Plus my favorite game, Worms World Party, didn't run properly (if at all), which also pissed me off. Last, but not least, my FAVORITE Targus Keyboard didn't work. Otherwise if those things were fixed, I would keep my Asus! I would suggest the Asus A716 to anyone who doesn't play Worms, and doesn't use the Targus IR Keyboard. The WiFi and the performance, was the best I've ever seen in a PPC (excluding the X30).

X30...here I come!
