Installing programs over active sync

Hey all.. Have been plainy around with my Axim X5, i have downloaded a few programs to try to install on them, but ehwn i try to click on the the file to install them nothing happens, the axim is connected to the computer and active sync is running, i have tried dowloading the proram many times. After i click to start installation and nothing happens i look at my task manager and see the setup.exe is running, but i dont get any type of installation. If I then shut down my computer, it pops up like it tries to install and then, the computer shuts down (Windows XP). I have also tried takind the *.cab file over the the axim and the pressing on it and trying to install it right off the axim, but it doesnt work either. Is there a setup on my computer that isnt allowing the setup to intialize or something?? Im runniing active sync 3.7.1 thanks

Could it be some anti-virus software interferring?? NONE of your setup programs will run?

I have Norton as well and have had the same thing happen on occassion. Temporarily disabling it should help. Anytime you run a .exe file it will scan it by default which can be slow depending on what computer resources are available.

Just to be clear - this happens with ANY setup file? What about a setup file for a PC applications like Office etc?

interesting... it should atleast start, unless the process is already running. Try a nice little restart if you havent already.
