I just got my Axim X5, but I can't find a screen protector. It was supposed to come with one but none to be found. There *is* a hunk of oversized plastic on the screen as it came out of the box. That's not it, is it? I'm assuming that's just for shipping. Where else would I look for the screen protector?

No, that's not it (although I used it as one until I ordered ones from Dell!). The ones people here seem to like most are NuShields and WriteShields (Google to find them) ... they cost ~$12-15 apiece, but last for a while. Right now, I'm using WriteRights from Fellowes (12 pack for 5 bucks), and they work fairly well, with just a hint of bubbling.

I also used the "hunk of oversized plastic" until I got some. And don't forget the home made ones if you want to save money. Check this thread:

Well, I wouldn't mind so much that there's no screen protector if they had said that when I ordered, it, but they said it came with one.

If this flimsy thing is what they meant, then they *seriously* need to reconsider their marketing stratagies!
