My question is; By setting processor speed to "Maximum Performance", will this cause the X30 High to freezes from time to time? What would be the most efficient or ideal setting to be use? What is a "PowerSave"? Originally the default setting is in "Auto". What should I be using? Thanks in advance.:)

Here's what I know:

First, setting your Axim @ maximum performance shouldn't make it "lock up". In fact, that's what I keep mine set to.

As far as the speeds, I believe this is what they are:

Max Performance: 400 MHz Turbo Mode
Normal: 400 MHz Normal Mode
Power Save: 200 MHz Normal Mode
Auto: "Scaling Mode" The processor will change speeds according to the activity on your axim. The range would be from 200 MHz to 400 MHz Turbo Mode.

The x30 high max is 624MHz. It should not freeze unless there are hardware problems or software incompatibilities, such as Today screen plugins, for example Battery Pack Pro 1.1.1 is unstable with the x30's wm2003se Operating System.

As wooch06 said, it shouldn't cause any type of problems set to max 624mhz. I run mine there always. A little less battery life should be about the worst thing to happen. :D

Yeah, be warned. Battery life really DRAINS when processor speed is on max.

Thanks for the replies. This is what I have installed so far; topkey 2.0, Pocket Mechanic, Memmaid and AOL Instant Messenger. Which one of these do you think causes unstability on my device?

I'd say Topkey, not sure about AOL. Topkey starts up when you soft reset. PM and MM could cause problems if you manually checked things to remove, but I think you'd see different problems. Try this: Use MemMaid to view whats starting up. If topkey and AOL are starting up, remove them, and soft reset. This may help you to determine which, if any, app is causing the lockup.
