I NEED HELP!! I used to own a Palm product but recently have purchased an Axim (still waiting for it , like a lot of people). My question/story is:

I used to have Advantgo with my Palm. I have recently uninstalled/removed everything related to the Plam on my home computer (except Advantgo file). I did uninstall Advantgo BUT, there is still an Advantgo file when I go into 'My Computer' (under program files). Today, I opened the Advantgo file and found 3 things in this file:

1) directX 8.1 (from Windows Update site)
2) aol-instant messenger (AIM)
3) Mobile Link (has a Palm sub-file when I click on the Mobile Link file)

My questions are, and please excuse the heck out of me not knowing too much about computers.....

why is my directX 8.1 in the Advantgo file? And, how do I move it somewhere else?

I don't even have AOL and never did except that I do run Netscape and I guess AIM is standard with Netscape. I don't use AIM but I don't know what it's doing in the Advantgo file (?).

My final question is....can I get rid of this Advantgo file from my days of using Palm and just install the Advantgo software that comes with the Axim? Also, remember, I need to do something with the DirectX 8.1 and I don't know how to move the file somewhere else on my computer. I tried to delete this Advantgo file but it says other programs may quit working and now I'm sooo confused over what to do. THANK YOU!!!
