Question Sprite Backup Error (GCounterFile.mmf)

Each time I run a Sprite backup, whether it be to my PC or to a storage card I get the following error message:

File could not be found
\\windows\activesync\GCounterFile.mmf

Has anyone ever experienced this? Should I be concerned?

I've been getting the same message, except mine says that it "could not be included," not that it couldn't be found.

I'd like to know what the deal is, too.

What did their tech support say when you emailed them?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Sprite Backup?

Might be worth a try.

I haven't emailed them yet. I thought I'd find the answer here. I'll go ahead and send an email and post back on the resolution.

I went to the Sprite web site and this is what they said about the GcounterFile.mmf.

"GCounterfile is a active sync file that cannot be backed up when connected to active sync
.The file is not important, and is recreated when active sync is connected again.
If you dont want to see the warning you can exclude GCounterfile using the exclusion list."

He goes further to say that if you can't add the file to the Exclusion list, to just ignore it. Go figure.
