Why do movies play in slow motion?

i play a movie on Windows Media and it plays really slow, like showing a frame by frame... i have the 400 MHz X5, is it to slow to play movies on?

I'm not sure about this... I have the newer X30 that runs at only 312 MAX & 208 AUTO/MIN. Both settings runs streamed and memory saved videos with out any problems.

I don't know... Maybe it's the newer processor? I've heared the new MMMX technology drastically improves multimedia.

By the way I'm using my Axim to post this. I'm very pleased with everything.

It should play video fine.

A few questions/points.

1. What format is the video you are trying to play? It it designed for pda use?

2. Try installing a different player, wmp is very slow compared to other apps out there.

3. That'll do for now ;-)

oh, video is supposed to made for pda use? i took it directly from stuff i downloaded on limewire and transferred it to the axim

To make any WMV you have now playable on the Pocket PC follow this

Download and Install Windows Media Encoder
Here's The Link
Once you've got it installed start it up and a Wizard well appear
>Select Convert a File
>Now Select the file you want to be playable on your pocket pc in the first dialog and then where you want it outputed and named in the second, click next
>Now select Pocket PC from the list of Profiles
>Now you can select to make in standerd video which is just in the small player windows, or widescreen which plays in the entire pocket pc screen on it's side, click next after your selection
>Now put any applicable information into this prompt (optional)click next
>Now click finish and it should begin encoding

This should help you out, I never cared much for Windows Media Player on the Pocket PC, you'd be further ahead downloading Virtual Dub and the Divx Codec (serves the perpose of Windows Media Encoder) along with Beta Player (Serves the part of Windows Media Player for the Pocket PC) for the Pocket PC. I use TMPGenc and PocketTV
That's definitely the problem, you are not watching something optimized for viewing on ppc.
