PPC Videos?

ok so i had a hell of a time getting any program to encode to work, but now im using autoGK, which seems to be working great, but now i have two questions about it, will WMP play .Avi, and i made a 175mb movie, but the quality was downright terrible, could barely make out faces, so what would you suggest for size, right now im trying to make it 240 with 320 width, but its not done so ill post if it works or not!

I do not think the WMP within ur handheld plays AVI, you will need softwares like Betaplayer or PocketMVP to do that. I prefer betaplayer.

wmv encoded videos do not look as nice as avi.

i use smartrippter to rip the dvd to an mpg and then PocketDivxEncoder to ecnode it to avi. you have plenty of settings in it to adjust the sound and picture. you can even choose to format it specificaly to your type of device.

to play i use pocketmvp. has worked well.

ok, so for anyone using PDE, when i make an avi, with the settings to make a 248 mb file the final file only ends up being like 20mb, whats up? i mean i would love it to be that small, but i doubt that it would work, or is my computer being crazy?

dont pay too much attention to the files size indicator. i use setting 12 for video and 4 for sound. then i set the sound to 100%. you can do two pass encoding, but i have not notice much different in PDE.

I use pocket-dvd studio to convert my dvd's and use pocketmvp to play the files on my HP 1910. How is the video playback on the Axim's?

love the playback. watch movies every time i take a flight. of course it isn't as nice as watching it on the laptop, but it is much easier than lugging that out during a flight.
