How to add program installed on SD card to Home shortcuts?

I installed some softwares on SD card. I can open them if I go to explored and dig down to SD card and to that program. However, I was wondering if I can simply add a short cut to the Home screen or Start menue?

Yes, the easiest way is to connect to the desktop, use Activesync>Explore to navigate to the folder with the program, copy, then navigate to the Windows\Start folder and Paste Shortcut. You can Rename to put the title you want.

I searched for this so sorry, know its an old thread. I install my programs to my SD card and they show up ok in Programs. Are particular PocketPC apps just not adding shortcuts?
