Hi all. Finally received my Axim and it is currently charging. My question is what should I do first? Is there anything I should be aware of during the set up process. I will not be synching with a computer for a couple of weeks (work is receiving new computers and a WLAN). Thanks in advance.:D

Read the Users' Guide. Then read it again. Doing that will probably answer 99% of your "newbie" questions. Not that the manual is all that great, but I do find that I remember reading about something somewhere and actually pick up the book before I post.

Yeah, it's kinda 20th century-ish, but hey, I'm a 20th century guy!

I've had my Axim for about a week and a couple things that I picked up off of these forums were:

1. Make sure you install ActiveSync on your computer before connecting the cable from the Axim cradle to your computer.

2. Before doing your first sync, assign a device name to your Axim. On your Axim go to Start - Settings- System tab - About - DeviceID tab. Choose a name for your Axim and enter it.

Reading the manual is a must, but I found this helpful. Hope you do too!
