I have purchased a Linksys WAP Router (BEFW11S4) and a Symbol Wireless Networker CF card. My "Connections" settings are "Internet Settings", "Work Settings" and "The Internet" respectively. My ESSID is the same on both my Linksys and Axim. Operating mode is "Infastructure".

My problem is that I can connect to the internet with the Axim in the cradle ('USB default) but I can't obtain a connection out of the cradle. The Symbol card icon in the lower right corner of the Axim display indicates maximum signal but I cannot seem to get the settings right to get a wireless connection and the "little computer" icon never appears.

I have scoured Microsoft, Symbol and Linksys websites/documentation without any luck. Any ideas as to what I may doing wrong?

Give this site a try. It has been a God-send to me. Also try a soft reset after you load the card. Don't know why, but it straightened things out for both my WiFi and Bluetooth cards when I started using them.

I'm Haveing the same problems. I have ran across people syaing they could not activesync but connet to internet. but I can Sync but can not use the explore to go online. Hope some can help us get the settings right.

MyUncle, thanks for the tips. Great website but unfortunately even with the soft reset, I still cannot seem to get a connection. I'm getting maximum signal strength according to the wireless card's utility on the Axim, so I know it's working. Here's a question; When I click on "Internet" on my "Connections" screen and then click on "Modify", all I see is "New....". Should there actually be settings identified in this box? I'm using a cable modem with a WAP router.

I'M SOOOOO FRUSTRATED.........

I have the same problem but and doing soft reset works but most of the time it doesn't. The best thing is hard reset and unistall activesync and the driver from your laptop or desktop and reinstall again but first you should BACK UP, BACK UP, BACK UP your data.
