outlook won't stay open

I have always used Outlook Express so I had to install Outlook 2000 from the ActiveSync. But, when I click on the icon on my PC it flashes the program for a split second then closes. The info entered on Axim syncs ok, but I can't get in to enter info on the PC. Has this happened to anyone else?

I would go to the MS site and make sure you have the most resent updates for your OS. You might also try searching there site for patches.

Have you tried reinstalling your active sync? You could also try getting the newest version 3.6 and see if that helps.

I also use xp he and outlook 2000. I do use activesync 3.6. You might want to uninstall AC and Outlook, then try a fresh install with an upgrade to 3.6. Make sure your axim is not connected when you install Activesync. The dell forum might also have some info on this problem.

Okay, I fixed my problem. parh8er, try this site http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;224432
It solved my problem by editing the registry. You'll have to follow the links for XP. I hope this fixes it for you too!
