How can I copy files to the Axim?

I open My Computer on my desktop then the pocket pc/// finally the storage card. I drag a 137MB file from my computer onto the card. It starts copying and after a few minutes, without any notice, the "Copy and convert to mobile device format" dialog disappears without any error messages or anything else. Is there any other way that I could BYPASS active sync and copy files directly to the Axim?

Is the Axim in any workgroup in a windows based network? Can I change the groupname somehow so I can see it in my network places?

Purchase an SD card reader for your PC. This is by far the best way to transfer files among your PC and Axim using the SD card. ActiveSync transfers are very slow, and it doesn't do well with large files. SD Card Readers are very inexpensive, and well worth the investment.

Thanks for the advice! Any particular brand you can recommend? I was thinking about the simpletech from buy.com with free delivery coupon.

Well, I have 2. One is a PC Card reader, the other is a USB cheapie. they both work very well, hard to say. Got my USB reader @ Office Max, they have them cheap! :). Definitely get one, you'll see the benefits immediately! :approve:
