I have just recently received my Axim and I'm going through the transition from the Palm OS to the Pocket PC and I'm having some challenges on file synchronization.

When I had my Palm I was using Documents to Go and I could create a word or excel file on my desktop and keep it synchronized with my Palm. The files were always synchronized so that I could make changes on my palm and it would be saved back to my desktop or vice versa.

With the Pocket PC it seems that I can do this, but only if I place the files in the Pocket PC folder under My Documents. I have many files on the network at work that I would like to synchronize, but I don't want to sacrifice my current file organization, etc.

I am sure I'm missing something here. . .help!

Tech info: Desktop operating Windows XP Professional, using Active Synch 3.6.

I'd appreciate any help.

Nope...you're not missing anything...that's how it works and seems to be the only way it works for now.

Your best bet is to make a copy of the files in question and place one copy in "My Documents" for AS to sync with the Ax. It'll be a pain if you update the docs frequently.
