When you tap the X in the upper right of a screen to close a program, does the program really close? It usually shows up in Task manager and you can "exit current program" or "exit all programs". Is there a way to truely close a program once you hit the X? Obvioulsy this allows multi-tasking but why on earth would I wan't to queue up many tasks and kill system resources?

There are utilities that can change it to be a real X to close programs. Or if you are using the Switcher Bar with the Axim, then instead of clicking the X , choose the switcher bar and "exit current program".

I use a free program called Pocketblinds that allows you to skin buttons and bars, but also provides a built in task switcher that works something like the switcher bar. I prefer using it over the Dell switcher bar because you also have to have the battery and brightness settings there and I don't really want them there. Plus Pocketblinds is a lot nicer. If I get tired of the look, I can change the skin (separately or together with the Today Theme).

I have beeen using Pocket Plus which can change the default to close the program, it has some other neat features as well.
