What is the procedure for getting pictures from my desktop onto my Axim? Do I need sd or cf cards?

1) You don't NEED either you can store them in your built-in storage, but will have limited space.

2) If you want more space either of those cards will be able to store files.

3) There are several ways to transfer file to the Ax. Open ActiveSync click explore and the drag and drop files to the location on the Ax that you want.

That should get you started.

Oh yeah make sure you install the picture viewer from the CD.
