Question Software-Free Data Transfer

HI

I would like to use my PDA lfor transfering data, in a similar manner to using a USB memory stick.

The only problem is that I want to transfer the data between my Axim X5 and various PCs. I don't want to have to install Active Sync on all of the computers (especially as I may be visiting another companies site). I have a Sync cable, but the PC needs to Active Sync software to transfer data.

Can anyone suggest the best way of doing this without having to install software on all of the PCs??

Thanks in anticipation

Setup a share and use Wifi. Use Bluetooth. Use IrDA (even slower than BT!)

You might be better with a portable card reader. They're pretty cheap.

if i understand you right you want to mount the axim's internal ram and storage cards as a usb mass storage device, there is no way to do this, except using wifi or bluetooth to open files that are on the computer, there is no way to setup a share on the axim.. your best bet like howard said is to use a usb card reader that tiger direct basiclys gives away with rebate
