I'm almost ready to buy my axim5 but a couple of questions first:

If I buy the 300mhz axim and it doesn't come with a cradle - how do I charge axim?

also when does the backup battery active - when you're main battery has run out?

Also (I'm a previous palm user and am used to hotsync) is activesync a drag from your pc and drop to a box that sends to the ppc.

Also, how do you see the games on this site - I didn't see any!

It comes with a charger that plugs into the bottom.

BU battery does NOT run the axim. It just holds memeory and OS settings, date, time etc.

ActiveSync: Yes you can do that. ActiveSync will in a sense, palce files into PPC format. Its transparent. Some files such as MP3 and such are straight copies.

There are many games found at handago, pocketgear, freewarePC etc... There are not many at this site since it is gear IMHO as more of a user to user help forum and user review vs some corporate puppet (JUST KIDDING).

Backup battery only comes into play when the main battery has been removed or is discharged. It will keep the ram mem intact for something like 24hrs as I recall. Cost about 3$ to replace but should last a long time if your careful.
