Heavy Problem with X30 High & Ministumbler and/or WifiFo

Hello,
i wanna scan my house for Wlan/APīs.

But my Problem is (i think) the Dell Wlan Utility and these Oracle Wlan Software.

Both starts automaticle when I turn on the Wlan.

The Dell Utility Search and search and never stop (it showed some "WAP: WEP" encryption thinks on Channel 10) the same deal with Oracle Soft.

When I start Ministumbler and klick on Scan, nothing happens, no aktivity no "Channel thats now scanned" will show nothing, only 2 Messages in Status when i click the Scan Buttom again

"No AP" and "No Scanning"

Same deal with WifiFo nothing happens when an klick on scan!

But when i witch the Wlan off on my Axim, Netstumbler gives some Error Messages out, and on Wififo is the WLAN Device missing!

1. Question:

Is it normal that the Wlan LED (green) blinks all the time? Or show is just aktivity?

I have exit both programmes, (Dell WLAN Utility and Orcale) but the LED still blinken and the Wardriving Programms are still "dead" :(

I donīt have an Wlan Network here at home! So i canīt let the Dell Wlan Utility find something and denn shut the ***** up *g*

I wanne just scann for Access Points and try out the Wlan form my Axim.

Please help me!

big thanks

To me it appears that you are trying to access Wlan for free in your area, as you do not have one at home, I will not help as I consider this theft.

Sorry,

WiFiFoFum works fine on my x30. Press the button to turn on the wireless, Start WiFiFoFum, Select "ODIM\WLAGS46B1" as the device from the Tools > Device Menu. As soon as I do that APs start popping up on screen. I can do this with or without a lock on an active AP point before starting WiFiFoFum.

Hehe yes right!

1. Iīm a german
2. It was about 5 oīclock (Night) as I write this down and i was VERY tired (tried the hole night to get an AP on Netstumbler/Wififo)

@BradleyUffner

Whan i press the WIFI-Button the "Dell WLAN Utitlity" starts up!
Is this the same on your X30?

I exit the DELL Utility and then start Netstumbler/WIFIFO.

When you start WIFIFO (i have config the same device etc.) and it scans automatic, does something happend when NO AP is in the near? Any Animation that shows you WIFIFO is working?

@Frenchy

I wanna SCAN not login/hack the APīs. Just wanna try on my X30H if WLAN works k? No Kismet/AirCrack/WEPhack works on a PDA without Linux i think, so is it much easier to hack with a PC or Notebook and not with my X30 PDA. The thing is i donīt wanna buy a WLan-Router when my Axim WLAN donīt work fine! You understand? Itīs just for check if it all works fine and give me ANY information that it can "catch" something out of the air *g*

thx guys for your help
