Its a lot bigger then your palm... lol

From dells website:

Dell's sleek, ergonomically designed Axim X5 handhelds, with color screens, metallic silver finishes, and rubberized side grips are stunning to look at and a pleasure to hold. Weighing in at only 6.9 ounces (196 grams) and measuring only 5" x 3.2" x 0.7" (128mm x 81.5mm x 18mm), the Dell Axim X5 handhelds fit easily in your pocket and are priced to fit your pocketbook.

Battery usage depends on what you are doing,
I can listen to MP3's for about 8 hours with screen
off...

Under general usage, entering data here and there
retrieving a address here.... I would say
about 3 days or so... but really it all depends on the
user and the uses...

I purchased this DPS-9000 that you can read about
in other threads, it works great for me for extra
ooomph where no plug is available....

I can't give you an exact on battery life. It never seems to get very low. I listen to music with it in the car for 30-45 minuts twice each day and then use it off an on adding up to several hours through the course of the day and it's never gone below 80% battery life.
