I guess I just don't understand the purpose of the screen protectors. I have read numerous posts about them and have picked two that I would use based on reviews. However, I have used a Palm for about 2.5 years and another no name brand for a year before that, now I have my amazingly wonderful Axim and I want to make sure I have it for a long time to come or until the 1Ghz Axim with 512 ram comes out (hee hee). In the time I have been using PDA's I have never scratched or done anything to the screen that would have called for me to apply a protector. Am I doing something wrong? Just kidding, I must be a very lucky person and may eat my words after this post but I just wanted to ask everyone why they use the screen/write protectors? Outside of the obvious, what is the benefit to me to have the screen protector on?

I think this forum is great and I have learned a great deal about my Dell and my need for it. :D

I was the same way before. Never thought about putting on a screen protector. But now that I have invested
$300+ Canadian of my own money I ain't letting this unit get any scratches or damages.
The screen is the most important part of the Axim. Even if you are the most careful person if you accidentally scratched your screen you would kick yourself knowing you could have prevented it.
Like yourself, I ain't going to buy a new PDA for years to come so I'm going to pamper this baby like it was my first Porsche.
