Am I missing something?
I can't see how to schedule a meeting or a call with a contact. Are appointments seperate from contacts, forcing me to enter the contact name each time I want to call or meet with them.?
Yes, I did try calender. The only way to specify the contact is through 'Subject' or 'Location' which are not linked to any contacts. I thought I would have been able to select a contact from that screen, but no.

Further down there is a catagory called "Attendees". Tapping it brings up a list of contacts and you can "check" a box by their name...I guess this is supposed to show that they will attend. The list doesn't seem to sort and doesn't look like you can do anything with it...rather useless, really.
You will be asked if you want to notify them...I guess by auto-generated email.
Microsoft Power Contacts for Pocket PCs
This Power Toy adds the following options to the Contacts pop-up menu:
Create Appointment - creates an appointment with the contact as the attendee and the subject.
Create Task - creates a task with the contact as the subject.
Open Web Page - opens the web page associated with the contact.

Anyone knows why the list of available 'Attendees' is not the complete set of contacts?
Cheers.

It appears to me that "attendees" only includes contacts that have email addresses. The reason for this would likely be that the "attendee" features allows you to send an email to folks asking them to reply about their attendance.
I just downloaded the contact powertoy & it has no power. When I choose to create an appointmnet or task, nothing happens. I uninstalled & reinstalled a couple of times & still nothing. Anybody have any clues?

Talk to me
It took me a few attempts to figure it out as well.
"Tap & Hold" on the Contact you want to "Create Appointment/Task" for...the options come up then.
Disabling the e-mail notification for appointrments
Hi there, please help the newbie (me) with a couple of things:
1. I just learned how to add contacts to the appointment via the attendee list. Axim automatically sent out an e-mail to all the people I selected as attendees (without even giving me an option to say 'no'). Is there a way to disable the e-mail notification permanently?
2. When scheduling a task with a contact, is there any way to 'link' back to the contact by tapping somewhere on the task screen (or do I have to look at the task, and then go find the particular contact to look up their phone number, etc.?

No, there is no way too link back to the Contact (too bad, I could do this on Palm with a linking app I found...)
If you install the MS Powertoy listed above, though, it will create the appointment with the attendee's name & Ph# in the Notes field if they don't have an email address. Strangely this doesn't happen if the do have an email...they just automatically get added to the "Attendee's" list.
