I just got my x50v last Friday and am moving from a Clie SJ30 so a big change for me.

I have 2 questions (today anyway -ugh!):

1) I installed the "ereader" from Peanut Press on my main memory rather than BIS and I realize I would rather it be somewhere else. I have a new SD card and put an ereader book on the card but ereader doesn't find it there and I can't find a place in ereader to tell it to go look on the SD card for books. Should I uninstall ereader and can I put it all on the SD card? I tried uninstalling it with the "remove programs" but it doesn't show up on that list of programs "in storage memory". I can't see a spot on the uninstaller to have it look for programs in other types of memory. If I need to uninstall ereader how do I do it? Or is there a way to leave ereader where it is and have it find books on the SD card? The way it is set up now it seems I'd have to put all of my books in main memory which wouldn't work cause I have a lot of books! Will ereader work from an SD card?

2) Syncing: this morning my computer couldn't tell I had the cradle plugged in and the axim in the cradle (didn't see any of it). I had to reboot the computer and then once rebooted I plugged the cradle in the USB and then turned on the axim and put it in the crade then it could see it. If I unplug the USB connection from the crade to the computer then plug it back in the computer can't find the cradle. I didn't have this problem until today. Any ideas?

for ereader you need to put the books in a folder called "my documents" no matter where you locate the directory (sd, cf or built in) ereader will then automatically see them.

My cradle doesnt show up when its plugged in by itself...since its basically just seen as a usb cable with nothing on it, if you plug in the cradle then place the axim in it, the pda should show up. If the pda is still not showing up more than likely active sync on the pda side is a little confused..usually a soft reset will fix the problem.

I am used to the Clie and though the old palm software is limited it certainly wasn't picky in the same way as the PPC software is!
