Having trouble choosing my new pocket pc

Ok i´ve had a 02 XDA for quite a while now and it stopped working so i´ve decided to get a new PDA. OK i´ve narrowed down my choices to the HP ipaq rz1710 and the axim x30...ok i know what your thinking The X30 is better...But i absolutely fell in love with the design of the Ipaq..but i dont like the design of the X30. So i dont know what to do should i live broke for a while and spend some more money and get a X50. I don´t want to spend more money but if the rz1710 is that bad well i guess i´m going to have to. So what to do

if i was a Miller Lite Ref you would be getting about 3 flags on this one. There is no way you should pay 250 for that thing.

Flag #1: Unsportsman like for trying to spend 250 on PDA without wireless and then wanting to spend 70 more on SDIO card.

Flag #2: We got an illiteracy prospect, Processor: 203 MHz Samsung S3C2410 Processor, that doesnt say 302, thats 203!!!!! THATS SLOW.

Flag #3: We got an illegal use of built in storage if you plan to put more than 3 programs on this thing. Memory: 25 MB user available memory (includes 10 MB iPAQ File Store)

x30 can be gotten for under 300 new shipped from ebay

Processor: 624 mhz
Storage: 64 MB
Wireless: Built-in

Stay away from that model ipaq. Not worth it, as stated above. Now if you were looking at the 4700s.... :D

I basically agree with eveyone else. I know three or four people with ipaqs, i dont know what models but they paid up to twice as much as i did, and my x30 blows their out of the water...i will admit that the ipaqs have a nice look, but look isnt everything...

I researched every PDA on the market and chose the Axim X30H....in my opinion the best affordable overall unit available at the time (x50 was not out yet....and btw it is too expensive (well, for me anyway!)....Once you make the transition to ppc platform on the Axim you will find it a very capable device indeed....:approve:

Yeah I also ALMOST got the X30H, but I had to wait for some money to free up and think about if I really wanted a PDA. When I decided that I did I saw the X50v instead and fell in love with the VGA screen! From there it was a done deal...

Well all except for the part that I'm still waiting on it LOL

The 19xx series ipaq's are nifty little devices, very compact and nice looking, but when I had mine I found it seriously flawed first of all by todays standards its quite slow, plus the sdio slot on the top is a bit fragile...making using dongle devices a bit scary, lack of an upgrade path is also a bit of an issue for many, since HP has repeatedly declared that 19xx series as essentially being disposable. As weird as this sounds if you are really bent on saving some cash id recommend even an x5 over the 1945 its faster and more versitile.
