I spent a night browsing the web with my Axim (and WiFi CF card) and added tons of favorites right there in PIE. I was able to access the favorites after saving them and I confirmed that they were all in place.

However, following a synch, I no longer can see any of those favorites that I had set up. All I have is the list of favorites that I had set up using my desktop (TOOLS - CREATE MOBILE FAVORITE). In fact, even sub folders within mobile favoritest that I had created using the Axim are gone.

I spent a good couple of hours doing this. Does anyone have any idea how/why this happened?

Not sure Kark...i do know that when I have to do a soft reset I lose the content of my mobile favorites...not the item itself but what is in it. I believe that you have to set up when you are going to sync your favorites under tools - synchronize on Internet Explorer. You can set it up to sync at a particular time of the day, or when you do it yourself. It may be that the set up had not been configured correctly.

Ok, here is some more detail on my situation (it's confusing):

On my desktop pc (Internet Explorer), if I go to FAVORITES - MOBILE FAVORITES, all of the links and subfolders are there.

On my Axim (Pocket Internet Explorer), if I go to FAVORITES, I am missing all of the new links I entered the other night.

NOTE: I entered these directly on my Axim, but now they are on my desktop only.

How can I get them to sync with my Axim? My settings are good. All favorites are checked.

I believe the key phrase here is sub-folder. My understanding is PIE does not support sub-folders. On your desktop try removing from any sub-folders and move up to mobile favorites, resync and all should show up.

Hmmm...That is just not true. The following is true, however:

- PIE allows you to create subfolders right in the add favorite screen.
- When using PIE, I can access tons of favorites, organized by subfolders. Just not the ones I created the other night.
- If I go to mobile favorites folder in Internet Explorer (desktop) , I have a subfolder called "News". This subfolder contains 4 links. Three of those links were created the other night on my Axim (PIE). These same links no longer appear on my Axim (PIE) under favorites. Rather, the subfolder "News" only contains one link.

Uhg. This is frustrating.

I solved my problem. I copied and pasted the contents of my mobile favorites folder from my desktop to my Axim. So far they are still there.

Good news Kark...have you tried syncing them yet to see how that works or even a soft reset to see if they still hang around?
