File Explorers - - again, Resco or?

I know this topic has been discussed several times, I've seen related discussions of it over the 2+ months I've been on this list.

I'd loaded the resco file explorer provided on the Dell CD that came with the Axim. I decided based on all that was said here that I might spring for the update and fully legit copy afterall with 20% off it was coming in at about $16.

I went to the indicated 'handango,com' site to order as the temp version said to. I'd put all the important stuff in, cc #, address etc. Then it said pick the manufacturer and DELL wasn't there. At this point I'm thinking that perhaps I'm not ordering what in fact I need!! If Dell is distributing the trial version I'd think the vendor would have Dell on the list!!

The handango site also wanted to know the name I'd given my Axim ( I presume that the download is directly into the Axim). I'm not comfortable opening my unit to a company that has still not updated their own site to include the Axim!! Or, again maybe I'm order the wrong thing! I bailed out on the purchase

Has anyone gone through this?

My timed use resco explorer is about to expire, I like it, but the site I'm being sent to doesn't recognize the DELL ?? Has anyone else gone through this?

I just checked it out and it does list the Dell Axim X5. :crooked:

And if the whole thing doesn't work out for you, you can use Total Commander CE as a backup... freeware with most of the same functionality.
