Worried Pocket word

Hi guys, be gentle with me, I may be missing something obvious!
Just got my Axim, and transferred some files across to a CF card, which were then duly converted to Pocket Word format. If I now open up Pocket Word and try and search for the files, it can't find them. (They're definitely there, as I've clicked on them from in File Explorer! A couple of questions then:
1. Will Pocket Word automatically search for files on a CF Card? I'm assuming it will as I can see the folder that they're in!
2. If "all folders" is selected, should all the available files on the Axim appear in the bottom pane?

Help!!!!

You need to have them in a My Documents folder in order for Pocket Word (excel, notes, etc) to see them. Just make a My Documents folder on your card and put them in there.

I highley doubt you are looking at the correct folder. Don't worry I've played with it and searched through forums to find out. Word looks at all word docs under My Documents. Even if you choose Word's Tool-->Options and save to Storage card 1 (if available) it will be on the device's Built-In Storage under it's My Documents

2. If "all folders" is selected, should all the available files on the Axim appear in the bottom pane?

Basically, Word will look at all subfolders and files under My Documents in the Axim's main memory and just files in My Documents in memory cards. If you want you can even try to copy the files into the Axim's My Documents folder and test it out yourself.

Another thread to help:
No sub-folders displayed in Pock.Excel?

Big Smile

Bingo! Easy as that! Files have appeared in the bottom pane. Still can't highlight the My Documents file in the drop down menu to just see whats in that folder and no others, but at least I can now see my files without having to go through the full file structure in Explorer. Doesn't seem to me to be a particularly intuitive program at the moment.... Then again, perhaps its because its all new!!!
