lock feature on x30?

hello, I heard there is a lock button on the X50. very useful when watching a movie or something...

how do I get that on my Axi X30H?

I read this other person's post about the program called DisableKeys... but that only disables all the keys. I need the touch screen to be locked also.

please help

What do you mean locked? As in you can't turn it on, but that wouldnt help if you want to watch a movie. Or something where you touch the screen/keys and nothing happens?

Sorry! no lock button is available on the X30. You can only activate the password protection.

That's what I figured but you never know! I must say the lock button on the x50 is a pretty cool feature indeed.

well there is a program to disable the keys... so disabling the touch screen should also be possible by software...

I was thinking if such a program exists... i can change the REC button on the left to Lock button...

as in you touch the screen and nothing happens...

I sometimes listen to music and put my X30 in my pocket..only to find the music stops half way cuz accidentally taped the screen or pressed a button...

I'm talking about like a hold button that u would find on a real mp3 player...

added: or only have the screen locked so you can use the keys to navigate through your playlist...

Exclamation Problem Solved!

Problem SOLVED!!!

I found a program that will actually turn the monitor completly OFF. that means the backlight and the LCD itself.

this program is called ScreenLock V1.2 can be used for both PPC 2002 and PPC 2003

Simply unzip the file and choose either the PPC 2002 or 2003 version and copy the .cab file to a folder of your choice and run the program.

you can then map a button to it.

To unlock the unit, you press the first button on the left and the forth button together. so on my AXIM X30 it would be the record button and the messaging button.

ENJOY! :approve:
