Wish to overwrite my Axim contacts with my Outlook contacts. How?

I sync my Axim at home and at work.
The last sync at home went very badly. Duplicated lots of contacts, may have lost others... just bad.
I haven't sync'ed at work since the awful event, and my work copy of my contacts is correct and complete. I want to overwrite the copy on my Axim with the copy from work.

I think I could do this by hard-resetting the Axim, but is there a less drastic option?

Instead of doing a hard reset, you could go one easier and delete all of your contacts on your axim. Then when you sync with your work computer it will copy all of those contacts to your axim.

I don't think so! I'm pretty sure that would cause the Axim to delete all my contacts from the work computer on the next sync!

On the other hand, if I make a subfolder under contacts at work, THEN delete the Axim ones, and then put them back... that might do it.

Don't delete all of your contacts on your Axim, you will lose them on your PC. Delete the parternship on Active Sync, then delete your contacts on your Axim and then create the parternship again. That should do it, I think :rolling:

If you want to delete duplicate Outlook entries, you might want to try Outlook Duplicates Remover. I'm not sure how well it works, but it's freeware (actually prayerware) and worth a shot before a hard reset. There are other duplicate removers as well, but those are not free.
