How to move to CF

Newbie needs to know how to move files off of the internal memory and onto a CF card.
Sorry for the silly question. But I'm learning.
Thanks.

An app called MemMaid by Dinarsoft can help move some but most can't be moved by us mere mortals.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I mean how do I keep something like a music file that i've downloaded onto the axim to the CF? And if that is not possible, how do I copy it directly to the CF from my PC.

Sorry if this is too obvious.

Nope not at all. You can use file explorer on your PC and the Explore button in Activesyns to copy and paste to the storage card in your Ax. A card reader works a lot faster though. I recommend just copying one CD at a time instead of trying to move multiple folders with the PC/Activesync method.

If the music is already on your device open the built-in file explorer to the folder where the music is. Open the virtual keyboard and hit Ctl. Highlight the files you want to move hold your stylus on one of them and choose Cut from the popup. Now navigate to your CF card find an empty space, hold down your stylus and choose paste.

You can move the file by clicking and holding stylus over file until options come up. Then ckick cut then open up CF and go to tools and choose paste

I am assuming that "tap and hold" it what you were going for? Yes, this is another way you can do this, and the way I typicaly do if moving files already on the device.

Just use the "Explorer" on the active sync program:)
