I cannot sync my Outlook calendar, contacts, tasks or notes. ActiveSync shos them as "Not Installed". I can sync my Inbox with no problem. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, everything imagineable and am having no luck. This sort of renders my Axim useless.

Go to Microsoft's website and download ActiveSync 3.6 and try to install it. It might work.

What version of Outlook are you running on your desktop? What OS?

This may sound like a daft question... BUT... did you make sure the boxes for calender, notes, etc. are checked in the appropriate boxes so ActiveSync knows to sync those? I'm just trying to keep it simple. I sure hope it helps you.
Good luck...
Ron

I had a similar problem: contacts, calendar and tasks. When synchronizing I had the messages "Attention required". I tried to sync whith another desktop and it was OK. Then firstly I created a new user account on my Win XP notbook, secondly I uninstalled the Active Sync, rebooted and installed it again. Now the sync is OK. I hope this information will be usfull for you.
Alex.

Similar problems here. I did some research, and found
that "Attention required" usually refers to problems
with Outlook.
I uninstalled and re-installed Outlook (per the Dell CD)
and the syncing problems disappeared. I had updated
ActiveSync to 3.6 while I was experiencing the problems.
Dropped 3.6 and have been sticking with 3.5 (also per
Dell CD) - not sure if that made a difference or not.
The error reporting in ActiveSync is a farce, but once
it's up and running correctly, you can forget about it.
