Hmm axim keeps turning on when in cradle

i finally got it to sync (thank goodness)! but now i'm having really weird issues with my axim. At first, when it was in the cradle the axim would be constantly on and if i would turn it off it would turn back on in like a minute. i was ok with that because then you would think when you take it out of the cradle and turn it off it would remain off, but no! strangely after the cradle this thing keeps turning on and i don't know what to do.

this morning i put it in the cradle and it turned on but the screen is dim (it's usually light).............................

help me please!

Open Activesync on the Axim when not connected. Tap Options, Schedule and make sure the boxes are NOT checked.

For the screen brightness, the on/off button has two functions. A quick press is on/off and a longer press is bright/dim. If you turn it off with a long press, it will come back on dim. Page 12, User's guide.

Jake Rich - how many times have you typed that about page 12. I'll bet 100. It's not really blondismart's problem -- it can be pretty hard to find what you're looking for even on this site.

Oh, it's less than 100. :p

I put that reference in because if someone else sees it and actually opens the manual and reads what's there, it may provide an answer for them beyond the direct question being asked. (For example, the popular question "Why is my power button blinking?" I know it's not blondismrt's problem and wasn't trying to be sarcastic or anything. The fact that I have given this answer so many times shows that people don't read the manuals, but the fact that I have provided blondismrt the answer instead of just the reference should show my readiness to help, even if it means answering the exact same newbie question 100, or 1000 times.

OK. I will ask. Why is my power button blinking. I did read the owners manual cover to cover. I have changed the settings for appointment notification and it still have it blinking. I figgured that some day, that this would be one of thoes things that I would some how correct and never know how I did it. But trust me I have spent a long time rereading the book and never found out why. I must have a page missing.

Ooooo, I get to say it!! User's Guide, Page 12! :p

Actually, it's probably stuck flashing from some appointment you had. Have you tied a soft reset? You might also look at this or this.
