Big Smile I think my losing contact with ActiveSync is fixed!

After being frustrated everytime I tried to ActiveSync my axe to my Dell 4100 I think I've solved the problem.

Sometimes it would sync and sometimes it would drop after a minute. If I tried to sync up Avantgo then that was a guaranteed loss of connection.

I tried ActiveSync 3.6 but that didn't help. I tried deleting the Resco Viewer and the file it leaves but that didn't help. I tried soft booting and somehow actually did a hard reset. Didn't help.

Finally after scouring over Dell's tech support boards I went out and bought a new PCI USB2.0 card. Installed it on my machine and was able to keep an ActiveSync connection all night and I finally got to see how AvantGo worked.

I know this is a pseudo-common problem, so I thought I would share my experience in hopes that it helps someone else.
