Worried Switching from T3 to X50v

I've pretty much made up my mind to sell my T3 and all of the accessories I've bought for it. In favour of a X50v and a bluetooth keyboard.

I've done alot of research and reading on the PPC/X50v platform and I feel that i have a pretty good grip on it, but there is on thing that worries me.

I've been using palms and palm desktop for 4 years now so it's like a part of my spine. In all the reviews I've gone thru I havent seen a single :exc: screenshot of how the PPC Outlook sync and PIM management looks

I would be very glad if someone could post a few screenshots of how the calendar, PIM, E-mail stuff looks! (on the desktop not the PPC)

Edit: I know this is a basic question but does PPC's allow you to instantly turn them on/off at any point like palms or do you have to boot up / shutdown first?

All the PDAs I've seen are instant on.

I've started at 350$ for just the T3 and 420$ for the T3 plus wireless keyboard and the belkin travel kit. Although I live in sweden and PDA's are rather expensive here so these prices my not be too attractive if you live in the states or anywhere else where PDA's are cheap.

Here is my add on a swedish counterpart to E-bay

The PIM on the Desktop is outlook. You just use it as if it was outlook and it syncs on your ppc.

If you've used beyond contacts on the palm (and if you haven't you missed out on a treat) it works like that.

Activesync just sits in the bottom of your screen (like Hotsync) and does its thing. The biggest surprise for me that it does it constantly instead of telling it when to sync. ie If i edit an appointment in outlook it changes on my axim straight away!

The other thing that it does (which my old clie could do but palm nevew could) is to allow you to browse the, the SD and CF cards in windows explorer.

Yeah, I don't want to spend that much on a PDA. Sorry about that. I am looking for a second PDA to carry around all the time and that has good battery life.
