Hi guys,

I am thinking to buy netfront v3.1 but my friend told me netfront is a bit expensive for the features that i dun really need.

actually what i need is a browser that can support javascript, rss, frames and allow me to save files correctly.. netfronr is a bit expensive but it does serve me well.. is there any other better but more affordable browsers around ?

please advise.

p.s: is there any website that i can get it cheaper ? btw, after i made the payment, is it they will ask me to download another version of netfront ? does anyone have experience getting the full version from them ? or they will only give me a serial number to enter somewhere in the browser ? i dun see anywhere i can enter the registration key though.

Hi Ronan. Please see this thread. Pocket IE supports JavaScript but it's turned off by default. Also see this MSDN article for additional PIE features.

hi guys,

i bought PIEplus but i cant view javascript site.. it is very disappointing =(

can you guys please check why it can not view js sites ?
i accessed expresswebdevelopment.com and then i click client login (choose a corner part) and the PIE is not responding or not loading anything though.. i have signed up for their website builder and it needs javascript to run.. now i really lost

is multiIE will not load js as well..

it seems like i really need to buy netfront.. any advise ?

Hi Ronan. I checked out the site - it has DHTML elements (e.g SPAN) that PIE can't handle. It appears to work fine in NetFront 3.1 (at least the pop-down list with JavaScript). Maybe download the demo and give it a try?

yah,,, the netfront works fine... but why the drop down menu redirection feature doesn't work with PIEplus.. i was told that it is working fine with javascript but only realize it is not =(

by the way, if i order netfront, do i need to download another version or i can use back the trial version but to enter something like registration key only ?

That site uses a combination of DHTML and JavaScript to do redirects in the pop-down list. PIE and PIEplus don't support most DHTML tags (which that site uses). JavaScript support is also very limited in PIE. NetFront 3.1 handles JavaScript much better.

Okay, first off, you can stop referring to me as "u guys". Just call me AJ. Second, I apologize for the confusion. When you buy NetFront you are directed to a secure login where you download a "full version" of NetFront 3.1 and you also receive an email with you authorization key. Third, I know the site uses DHTML because I'm a web developer and I know what DHTML looks like when I view the HTML source. Fourth, JavaScript is not DHTML.

Hope that helps.

Hi, I demoed Netfront 3.1 and was impressed. I purchased the full product but as i had the demo version I thought I would be able to just enter the registraton key. The problem is I cant find anywhere to enter the key on the demo.

Does this mean I have to uninstall the demo and reinstall the full product to enter the reg key??? :rolling:
