I've had my Axim about two weeks and my 128 Mb SD card about a week. On two occasions I went to use data that was on the SD card (Excel and MP3) and couldn't find it. I used explorer and realized the system couldn't see the SD card at all. In both cases it took a soft reset to bring it back. No data was missing and everything worked okay. Now the truth be told before one incident I might have been playing around and pulled the SD card when the Axim was powered off, and the second time I had a jealous friend with a Compaq stop by and he insisted that I show him how the battery pack comes out. Again power was off when I did this. I really don't think I did anything, but just in case I thought I'd ask if there might be something else that would have made the SD card unavailable to the system. Any ideas??

My cf card was missing this morning- and a soft reset restored it. I just figured it was the OS (it is windows, after all...)

Very Odd -- I've recently had the same thing happen to me. The Ax doesn't even see the card installed, but when I do a soft reset, it re-appears. I've had my Ax since January and haven't had one problem at all. The only thing I've recently added, since the problems appeared, is a CF GPS device. After I use it, I've been experiencing a few new issues - so I don't know if that has anything to do with it...I'll post any results if I find anything.:rolling:

what brand of card do you use?

Sandisk maybe? They're well-known for their compatibility problems with the Axim.

Regards,
Peter
