Question Start from scratch??

I had an Axim for less than a week and have to return it to Dell because it kept doing a hard reset on it's own. I already have the activesync configured along with mNotes to sync with Lotus Notes on my PC.

Do I have to start from scratch and reload the software on my PC and new Axim or can I simply setup the new Axim (same ID) and begin where I left off?:rolling:

Did you do a full backup to your computer before you sent your axim in?

I recently got a new Ax, and I didn't have a backup. Reinstalling software was a breeze. I just created the partnership with ActiveSynch, then went down the software listed in ActiveSynch's "Add/Remove Programs". One of my applications installed the original version, and I had to find the update file. Two of my applications asked for a key, which I had.

I don't know whether the Ax RAM gets fragmented like a disk drive does, so I don't know whether there is any advantage to re-installing over restoring. But I don't see the huge advantage to backups.

Hmm Didn't have a chance to backup!

I didn't have the oportunity to backup my information to the PC before the Axim initiated a hard reset on it'sown. I do however have the data on the PC from the sync prior to the hard reset.

Can I still go from here or is it better to start over?
