It's possible to connect to and browse the internet when connected to a PC through the USP connector thing, right? Thanks!

Yes you can. In ActiveSync 3.5 or later there is a feature called "Passthrough". Look under the Tools menu, Options, Rules tab. At the bottom is a select box to select which connection to use for the Passthrough internet connection.

I really don't want to offend anybody, but if your PPC is connected to your laptop, why would you want to browse the internet using the PPC? Why not just browse using the laptop?

I think somebody has found a use for the Axim that I never imagined. The world is so rich with ideas ....

Haha...interesting point. It's just for fun.

Does anyone actually use PDA's for something practical anyway?

Well, if you were downloading applications or drivers to the device, wouldn't it be easier to do it straight to the device to cut out the extra step of copying or syncing???? ( I haven't gotten my axim yet, so not sure how you do what with it....)

Sure! I started using it to remind me of parking meter feeding time. It's very easy to set the reminder time, so I figure in three or four months it will have paid for itself.

handing it over?
I'd suggest going into the classifieds forum and buying a $50 Visor Prism to hand over :)

it will be cheaper in the long run.

My desktop PC is in the living room, not far from the sofa. The USB sync cable easily bridges the distance. I find it handy to surf and chat from the Axim while sitting with Missus, for example -- she much prefers that to my sitting at the computer with my back to her.

So there's one practical use...
