A little more info: it's short for StrongARM. The XScale processor in your Axim is based on the same architecture so most programs designed for ARM will also work on the Axim, although if there are versions for WM03 or XScale, use them instead. MIPS and SH3 are older processors and the programs written for them typically will not work.
