A soft reset is always a good bet for these sort of problems.....

Can you instruct this novice in the procedure for a soft reset? I know how to do a hard reset but have not executed a soft reset and do not have ready access to my user's manual.

Thank you

Dwight

push stylus in soft reset hole.....

A hard reset is where you hold the power button down at the same time (this wipes all your data)

A hard reset will clear all of the data (other than the OS) from your device: be sure that is what you want to do.

Assuming that you have an X50 or X51 press the power button and press the stylus into the reset hole on the rear of your device. Follow the on-screen instructions.

BTW, welcome to Mobilitysite
