As an Axim user with a 400 mhz processor, would I really notice the difference if I went to one with a 300 mhz processor. Primarily use the device for calendar, contacts, and notes.

Depends on you. I didn`t saw a big difference in stepping from 300 to 400 MHZ.

Maybe a little more loading time here and another second more wenn openening a note but thats it. If you don`t use it for navigation or something more challenging for your processor you won`t "feel" a difference.

BUT why the heck you want to step back to another PDA with only 300 MHZ?

You shouldn't notice that much of a difference if you use your device for just pim. It is mostly intense games and multimedia that is effected for less processing power.

Tired of the bulky X5. Want a smaller unit and cost factors may necessitate dropping to a 300 mhz.
